Algo Done: 15 trades, 66% rate with Net +24 ticks. (after comms.) Also discovered a couple new minor bugs with being live only. Manual Sim Trading with a controller: 6 trades 100% rate +28 ticks Interesting fact: Although I am day trading on day trading margins with Optimus, one can open a position after the regular close and hold it overnight on a day trading margin. So at 2:45 PM PT, after it reopens, one could open a trade and hold it to the next day. The only requirement is that all positions are closed by 1:45 PM PT. I did not know the exact rules.
4 point loss. Wasted session. Missed the Open and ended up trading chop from 11:00-12:00 and missed the other fine moves.
As soon as Ken starts showing UVXY charts, get ready to cover! (Hindsight trades are not allowed here but I'm holding SQQQ since Friday, in the spirit of Padu)
We already had 5 days of chop near ATH Let’s see. Price is grinding higher, Might see some downside incoming. Similar PA that we had around July 16th … I think leading stocks are holding the SPY back, But when the overall market is gonna react, We might see a nice push downward. RSP is at all time high. RSP is SPY but equally weighted. By leading stocks I mean heavy weights. I think a correction wouldn’t hurt at this point. By correction I mean +100pts from the high.
GM All: Algo done: 5 trades 80% net +62 ticks. Done for the day. Typical "goal" is 24 ticks, but it "knows" when to ignore it. And when to stop trading for the day. It hit the code: "Done in 3-5 trades, stop for the day".
The difference is that was then and this is now. Now the test is a re-test and all the players who wanted out, got out. So different dynamics are at play. The thing most notable to me is the intra-day action of someone dumping large blocks of ES. This has been going on for a week now. Out of the blue, someone dumps 3-4k contracts. What this says to me is consolidation of positions. E.g. a large stock portfolio can now be synthetically "flat", with covered calls in play. But for the future this means, to me, either these players will either proceed to dump their actual long stocks, or they will come back in with a huge roar, starting with the ES. Either way, when the action returns it should be strong.
