Done for the day Manual trading: 22 trades for 44 ticks. But had a MAE of 3 contracts for 44 points each. So overall a very bad day of trading.

  4. ES still looking healthy for a pop to me, but NQ weakness is a concern here. Then again, I'm no expert on that one. I know it can tend to overshoot and look pretty weak just before it reverses hard on you...

ES should close above 70 today.

Since you referenced me, I feel its ok if I reply again.

My point is that your style of posting changes. When you're in a trade doing well, you have no problem doing lots of commentary, showing your position with targets, but when you're losing, its dead quiet. Then we have no idea what you are doing, and it sounds like its lots of stop outs, and you only come back if its working out well again. The wins get so much more attention than the losses. So what all of this to me shows is wanting recognition for being right, and feeling shame when you have losses.

Think about it. You have no problem showing us the charts when you are nicely ahead, so we see the level you enter at, and we see the potential profit, but on losing days, we never see those trades. Even at the end of the day, you never show your whole chart. You're, once again, free to show whatever you want, but its so clear to me that if you show all our trades, you're likely not proud of many. Now should this really matter if at the end of the week you are still nicely profitable? It only matters if you don't believe in yourself, or if your posts are only for a specific purpose like credibility.

Its kind of like how corporations/governments work. They want losses to be socialized, but profits to be privatized. I know you keep mentioning that losses are small since they are on a small size, so why not show them? I think when ES had 100 point ranges, your large targets were easy to hit. And now, its way choppier, and hence harder to have a 30, 40 or 50 point winner from just one entry, and even if your target eventually hits, it often takes the long and winding road, not direct. (and as was pointed out by someone else, scaling into a winning trade mean the average entry price gets higher, so now that stop has to be trailed more and more, there is a downside there)

So I guess my whole point is that what I sense based on how you post and what you post and don't post, this game is not just about money for you. (and like it is for me too, and many here) We have talked before about how we have trouble believing most people on this board, and for good reason. But this ties back to you as well now. If you never show a chart with all the trades, its no different than someone calling a trade very late, which can't be counted.

I doubt that any of your trades are so proprietary that they can't be shared, but what I think this would do is bring to light how you truly feel about your process. Maybe that's just my whole point. Your process, although very good these past few weeks, is only robust during certain market conditions. And it maybe sucks to admit this, which showing a chart with all the trades would prove. If you truly believed that even frequent stops don't bother you because the losses are on small size and you can easily recover this once you get into a winning trade that you keep adding to, there once again wouldn't be the need to keep quiet and not share a chart. But you are likely worried that these past few weeks are going to be much harder to repeat going forward, and you don't want to fall down from the current high you are on.

Full disclosure, I can't do anything right. I still can't hold a winner like you do, so I'm very jealous of that, but I also can't monitor the market all day like you can, so my style of trading has to be different. I'm just hoping to get to the point where I put on 5 to 10 trades a day in the first hour and either make 5 points or quickly stop out, but have this add up to a positive expectancy. I think holding for bigger targets is definitely the way, but this has its drawbacks as well.

As you're always writing in other threads, this is the worst way to make money because chances of making it are so low, and you give up too much for your life to try. I wish you were right that small stops are the key, but then keep trying until you get into a good trade and hold for a decent target. But since you're having trouble showing all the trades, I'm afraid there are some serious drawbacks with this method as well, and I'm guessing that you're scared to show this because it will show the holes in your system.

Maybe a system is never even mean to be profitable every week. Maybe the solution is you have to accept a losing week, and I doubt you even have that. I think even though you had losing days, the 14k loss was still much bigger than your best day that week. So I'm sure you're still doing exceptionally well, but perhaps you are scared if you can keep this up given how the ranges are compressed and its getting more choppy.

Is that MAE 44 points each car , or did you mean to say 44 ticks (aka 11 points) each?

Hey guys, everything has been said already. How about you both agree to disagree and let it go.

Let's focus on the market, and let everybody trade the way they see fit and post or not post whatever they want...

Wait... I am telling people what not to post... Bloody me! :D

    Peace :)
