I will bet you that by Thursday the gap is filled from this (Friday close). If you pull up a chart, look at Monday August 24, 2015. Has the same feel. I remember that day. Yet you will all be too terrified to buy this dip. It probably won't make it green tomorrow, but I would bet that worst case is it doesn't do much tomorrow and still closes very red and then goes up big Tues-Thur or tomorrow open they already start buying the dip.
One more hour to the European session. What are the European big boys going to do? Surely they will move the market. And make sure you move the market massively.
What are you basing that on though? I wrote the same thing, but I know what I'm basing it on. Candles are meant for ghosties... not stock charts.
Yeah, as always, eventually right? But didn't you also say the other gaps would eventually get filled? Ahem, still waiting.
I've been in the markets for a while. These shakeouts are no different. I've seen this before.Nothing is that special or unique about this drop. Yes, I never thought we would ever see a drop like this again. You can pull up the charts from 2015 like I said, you can look at the initial pandemic drop of March 2020, it's not going to keep crashing. There will be a violent rally too. It's actually better to see this happen. The worst thing is a slow bleed lower. When you get a violent drop like this, there is a much better chance of a fast V recovery like we've see so many times. The market does have to come back and test levels. It doesn't just all vanish overnight in futures trading. Every weekly gap is always filled. There is like a 99% chance the weekly gap will get filled eventually.
I actually said I was worried about the 497 one. The 481 came so close, but was missed. That is now at risk. The one from Friday and the one from today will get filled. Yes, the market sold off way more than I could have ever imagined, but a violent selloff like this is not sustainable. The hungry dip buyers will look for bargains soon. I just hope you are ready for a violent rally at some point this week.
