Good stuff, man. I think this quoted part is really important as well. Another trader I touched base with years ago said that only an amateur would sit around waiting for his stop to get hit if he realized the trade was wrong or not working out like it was supposed to. Losers needs to be cut ruthlessly and as soon as the market tells you you are wrong you should get out. Good reminder. Good stuff, Concinnity. I'm rooting for your continued success. As for trading being a solo sport or a team sport, I think both are equally possible. No argument there.
Outside Day on Friday. Monday will either breakout higher or it won't. My best guess from here is we'll either breakout higher or open with a gap down which should be a good buy for a pop higher. Here, I'm talking about the RTH session. For the bull scenario for the week ahead - we shouldn't dip much below 3720, IMO. I'm considering a small lottery ticket on the Open tonight. This can probably move as high as 3800 before a potential reversal (which should be considered very likely). Should be another fun week. Anyone fading this at this point...? Looks like a week with a bit more economical numbers coming up compared to last week.
We regained October weekly lows and also candle closed above them. Even in a super bearish market, that's still generally a fairly bullish sign for the short to mid term. Obvious target would be 3820 relative high. ES would normally move to like 3874 ish, so that's my 2nd area / target. I would think most likely this week. If it does pull back like you mentioned, than I would expect it for sure by the following week. So leaning bullish bias, but not married to it. If we get near ES 3820 relative highs and fail to get above and use it as a floor, than obviously have to be careful that the pattern of selling near relative highs continues.
That was fast. Fun for those already long. Not so fun for those like me trying to capture a ride. Had a bid at 3775, but was too late. Not chasing this, so just have to wait for a PB now. Someone chased and bought this top. I'll be happy to buy from him.
Wasn't able to capitalize on the move, but the move itself not surprising per previous comments. Pretty standard stuff.
Not sure what happened on the Open really. Price was just resting and then suddenly spiked. I was waiting for prices to be moving before taking action as I had a resting limit way below market, so not sure if my platform was freezing or what not. Made me miss my entry. Looking to get in on a long on a PB here. Targeting 3820 overnight.
I am not loving this action, don't think I am going to take a long. Will wait for tomorrow and trade it closer to the open. It is possible I wake up and miss the move, but rather miss a trade, than end up negative or taking a trade I don't clearly see.
