Interesting development. It turns out we broke below instead. A fairly volatile session where not much happened in the end. Another day of consolidation. I am or was and still may be bullish for the week ahead, but it's only probabilities and rarely certainties. What I do know is that it's unlikely that the week range is set by Tuesday's Close. We should see an expansion of at least 30 points above/below, so I'll be expecting at least 3840 or 3740. It's possible we'll see both. Incidentally, there's two open gaps nearby. One above and one below. I'd be very, very surprised if we don't see a fill of at least one of them. So, while bullish, I'm going to prepare myself that we can see a drop down to the 40 area tomorrow. That's only 2 % down for the week, so no biggie anyhow.
What the hell? Your entry price is exactly the last price at the Globex Close. Is this bad sign, or good? heh
Short 1 MES at 3787.50 as a hedge for my bullish option positions. I’m guessing Yesterday’s low of 3768 will be tested. If that is taken out convincingly, look out below as last week’s low is far away, not that I would expect it to get there by the end of this week. I may take a net bearish position if we get what looks like weak rally rolling over during RTH.
Took a scalp profit on a long from 90. Considered swinging it for a move higher, but wise from the lack of directional moves on the Open lately, I booked it. Flat and watching now. I don't have a strong edge here, so no need to risk anything. One of the things I'm trying to improve is precisely to avoid bad/uncertain trades. It sucks to have a great trade pay for a row of losses. Another view similar to what I posted yesterday. ETH chart. Right now, we're kind of in the middle of nowhere, so it's not easy to say where this goes for today. I couldn't find any strong probability either way with my forecast model either. I may go long on a break above the opening range. Let's see now...
NQ seems to have much better structure for a move to the upside, would want to be long both on when NQ breaks above YHOD 12948, Until the looking for ES to find a bottom 3760 to 3775 , else we are going much lower Edit:10:11 ES Bounce looking more bullish - than a possible down trend day Edit bullish above 3803, would look for 3816
tough because RTY been the clear leader long this week, while NQ has been mostly down, ES bouncing in the middle of range.
Still holding L 3812.25, 3809.25, 3801.25, 3791.25 from Sunday evening and a small bunch of MES. Yesterday was more productive. Hoping for a break into 3809 so I can get rid of 2 ES. I am hoping for a 3840 area for MES. Looks like a stretch. I am thinking next week executive orders will move one way or the other depending on what comes out.
