I thought that was what I was sharing most of the time, i.e., my view of the market, where I think we're headed and what I'm looking for short-term. A real time trade with entries and exits does not contain anything of value if you don't understand why the trader entered where he did and why he exited where he did. It sure as hell can be entertaining to see someone who's killing it nailing every up and down, but how does that transfer to trading knowledge for anyone else? I'm not sure one could or should expect that. This is simply the office equivalent of water cooler talk. Nothing serious. I just started posting a few screenshots to show I was actually trading as well, but I do agree that they're useless and could easily be manipulated as well. So, zero value. I did post that $2.1K losing day, though. Most on ET won't do that as everyone is a daily winner on ET.
Long when that news report failed to reverse the market below yesterday's close and left behind a nice "tail bar". 6 points locked in to make sure I take something off the table. Targeting the top of the range trying to not be too greedy. EDIT: And stopped for 6 points of profit. No followthrough on that BO.
10yr yield 3.662% Only market that looks good for a long today is CL, but I'd be surprised if that holds up much longer.
Should have put my money where my mouth is. CL dropped -$1.50 from 10 minutes ago. No brainer, indexes drop crude follows most of the time.
Anyone like playing this? Way too whippy for me. Clearly a lot of volume going off here as my volume charts are moving fairly fast. I'm sidelined waiting for some clarity here. I would feel most confident about participating in a move higher back inside yesterday's range, but not picking a bottom here. Shorting seems to require a bit more precision and wider stops. Forget about breakeven entries as you're out in seconds. I prefer a bit more calmer markets, but I know there are some who love this action...
Did a quickie RTY short pre-NYopening. No short setups since. But after I think I have determined trend for the day (not always right of course) I turn off signals for opposite side.
