Would you consider your style primarily scalping? Seems to be that is what I remember... But yeah as an aside - why are people in here trying to short this PA? Even if you are a skilled trader you are fighting inertia... Easier to ride the wave. People think we are bigtime crashing. Just not in the cards right now. All this is doing is setting up one hell of a buying opportunity.
I guess some traders trade more supply/demand and fade the moves. The best trader iv'e ever seen (by far! Who actually calls shit live) almost always counter trends (made 2 mil over the last 4 sessions. Shared the screencapture/gif with someone here in PM) There's really no right or wrong imo. 'trend trading' isn't some holy grail. Go to trade2win and look at the live call threads and you'll see people buying every high and shorting every low, or just 'going with the trend' and getting stopped just as much as counter trend traders. Everything is very easy in hindsight
For sure. More than one way to skin a cat. I just prefer to swim with the current. Trading became much easier after that sunk in.
Back in the day I was a scalper on tick charts but with the trend. I am doing longer day swings now on the 5 minute. That bull flag I posted earlier is now up nearly 80 points.
As you know there are No crashes anymore .. they put an end to that… Nothing wrong with fading a move… as long as your profitable and RR is intact.. personality dictates the trade going against your intuition/ MO is really the only sure fire way to lose…
Agreed. And for the record - it has clearly been a "short the rip" market for weeks now on the larger charts.
