im in same boat. Working with the houses money now. Don’t know if I want to give up my profits knowing it’s likely we have already hit the daily range
Still holding -- seems like the indexes are all cycling a bit differently today. Impressive reversal by the Russell. Some additional seasonal info (bigger picture) -- for what it's worth: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/10/jim....html?__source=sharebar|linkedin&par=sharebar
Just held UPRO all day and exited at close -- small profit but nothing too exciting. Should have just had limit orders 10 S&P points below Friday's close as that was the low I was looking for.
In the event we'll see an Up Week - I think we put in the Week Low yesterday, but it's still possible we'll see a test of yesterday's Close (59.50) and lower on the Open. The economic number coming out in a few hours may shake things up, too. But it's worth a lotto ticket from here. Tightening up a bit at this point in case I can buy again at lower prices.
I'd be surprised to see another dump at the open, but don't rule anything out. That would be 3 in a row. I'm patiently awaiting the numbers, and will evaluate in a few hours. We are dead smack in the middle of a channel on the 4 hour chart. I see absolutely no value here at this time.
Even if the market bottomed out - it won't necessarily be a V-bottom. It can take some time. Scratched out of the prior trade for - 1,0. Still leaning long - but better if I can get in again around 40/50.
yah, PA is definitely not indicative of a V bottom. But If we continue to drift lower here, I'll be a buyer near the open and looking for 20 points
Improved my entry @ 53.50. Same bias. Leaning long above yesterday's LOD assuming the Week Low is in and willing to take a few stabs here, but well aware we could drop far lower from here, so being cautious...
Definitely a tougher read here which was my reason for exiting at close yesterday (and my entry on Friday was based on daily chart so I typically hold for the duration in that case). Ended up buying some ETHE early afternoon, some of which I'm still holding, which looked better than S&P at the time -- just trying to find the best macro theme and go with it.
