You have GOT to be kidding me. I couldn't get access to the 'net here in buttfuck Maine until this morning, but if I could I would have told you THEN that you were nuts. Take it from someone who has traded through the Weekend Trump Tweets. When his Tweet went out on Friday evening we knew the pop was coming, and RTH would carry it higher. Buy at open, sell when it starts going back down, enjoy profits.

Sweet weekends are made for this, who am I to disagree?

And I found out something about my broker I never knew...

They cannot initiate new trades on the phone. I called them last night to initiate a long order in the NQ, and they informed me that they can only initiate close market orders on an open trade. They cannot open a new trade for you.

It was never an issue until now, since I am rarely away from the trading machine and want to initiate a trade.

Well, live long enough, you learn something new. AMP, I dunno' why you do not have that ability...I suppose it if for security reasons, and I still love you. But bleh.

Uh, no. You are cheating. You had two different positions. You went short and made a lot of money when you closed it, and then you went short again and lost a lot of money.

Don't sugar-coat it. That's the same thing as me going LONG and closing for a 200 point gain, and then going long and having to close the long at a 100 point loss. That is not a net gain on a long. That is a long gain, and then a long loss.

Just calculate every trade you've ever made, and that is your true "net". Don't couch it in two separate trades. Be honest.

If you were somehow HEDGED in the same position, that would count as a single trade in my mind. Like hedging ES long against GC short or something.

Shooting star bouncing back from the upper BB on the daily. I expect a 40-60 pts drop from here...

Exactly ... poor @Buy1Sell2 ... even when he wins he loses according to the ET cognoscenti ...

He gave his entry, he gave his stop, he managed the trade according to whatever inscrutable, proprietary trading plan he employs presumably ... can't ask for anything more.

    WTF!?!?

Netting futures trades is good enough for the US-IRS, but not ET. Geezus, Get a life!
