He saw a big triangle developing in NQ in the morning session, and figured it was going to breakout or breakdown with strength.
It just turned out to be jitter. But it was epic jitter, and broke higher for a whopping 30 points up. Massive. Epic. TA simply cannot work until we have resolution on the trade spat. IMHO. The market is coiled up like a spring so tight that I am forced to avoid trading. I'm even scared to try scalping this thing. When it blows, it will blow big. But I ain't gonna' pull a B1S2 move and say it will happen in "the next three hours." That reeks of insider information, and it turned out to be WRONG. So unless ya' truly got insider info, like Trump or Xi's plans on announcements, putting timestamps on the move is a fool's errand. Nah, I'll wait for something from the newsverse before making a commitment. P.S. For the sake of honesty, all is fair in love and war...I went long Thursday afternoon on what seemed to be a continuing uptrend in MNQ(Which is NQ). And sure enough, the thing was down by about 220 points(?) yesterday. Today it's recovered back some, but I'm still down 155ish points on the thing. So I do have a commitment but that was when things were going my way again. But the trade war bit me, AGAIN, for the third time in three weeks. All it takes is trade war news now to move this thing. No more earnings, no more data. Next big one will the FOMC tomorrow at 2PM ET.
It's ok that you were fooled ... fooled everybody here except for B! who finally nailed it: top in the 2870 are, sideways to down thereafter ... that's what my chart shows.
Then how do you account for this? "There will be a very large move coming within the next 3 hours. Up or down?--- don't know for certain. ---Staying short though."... What strong down move occurred 3 hours after that post?
WTF does that matter? That was at 10:19 ... His last post was the one I quoted, the one made at almost the top tick of the day at 10:59: Which was the most accurate read I saw on ET today in the ES forum ... 10:59 AM EDT @Buy1Sell2 says the top is in for today and sideways to down will ensure ... fvckin' credit where credit is due. You want to string a call around his neck that didn't come to fruition and throw him overboard and then ignore the one that proved prescient? The problem with ET is most of y'all are so used to losing you can't even be sane when someone posts some analysis that proves to be a proper call. Heck, at least he has the balls to put a call out there ... I even give @mbondy credit for that today. And believe it or not, there were traders who made money today. Quite a bit of money ... this market may be fooling many of the people, but it ain't foolin' everybody. B1 made a good call today.
He made a good call. But so did I, on a longer timeframe. I do not recall any individual here giving me any high-fives for that market-top "prediction". I did not ask for them, and did not expect them. But you are bringing it up now, this "accuracy" shit. He got lucky on the sideways/down call, because that is 66.66% of the possibilities. "WTF does that matter..." It matters a great deal. If it did not, you would not be defending him so much. What is his call for the next few months? Why does he not make it now? You guys and your TA, take a break. FA is ruling this market. Mbondy way LUCKY on his call, with no basis in reality. I cannot respect that guesswork.
At least I have the balls to post my live statements. I have no compunction about posting my losses, my wins, and all the bits in between in my journal. Fund an account with no more than $200 ... heck, let’s say anywhere between $50 and $400 but the requirement has to be no one trades an emini until he or she books at least $200 in emicro profits. So here’s the deal ... if at the end of June, bondy’s balance is half mine or better, I’ll have baron kill my nic and NQurious will be finished with ET. Start with any micro you want, book at least $200 in micro profits before trading the mini. Each day post a copy of the account statement showing net P/L with NFA’s, exchange, commish ... must have balance continuity between posts. Must trade at least 5 times between the first and last trading days of June. What say you? Are you in?
