i agree, i do scalping and have to have all my senses working properly, any small variation from being 100 % and you tend to get into losing trades.
Quit fighting with your GF, you need to make it clear to her that it’s not cool when she steals your tampons.
My account is seeing too much volatility for my taste. I’m going to emicro spreads instead of outrights from now on.
Bought 1 MNQ @ 7597. Stop 7587, objective 7612. Stopped manually. Filled at 7588.50. That was quick. My idea was there was a double bottom on the 5 minute and there a rally towards the last move to 7619. I wasn’t going for the full test of resistance because of the overhead resistance of the HOD. Feel a bit gamed on this move. Edited for clarification.
The real trade was shorting at the test of last Friday’s high or buying the open of RTH, which I actually considered last night. I need to prepare for the trading day more thoroughly and have a specific trading plan prepared for several scenarios rather than acting like I’m playing a video game.
Max had $30 in var on his portfolio... and it's too much volatility. Yes, that's right, he's going to spread a contract that pays $5/point.
I'm going to assume that he was joking about the spread lol I'm curious if the micro fills are on par with the mini. If so, maybe we could could put together a little ET blotter contest for June - put up $200 in an account with an ET sponsoring broker, post the blotter at the end of each trading day, trade anything one has margin enough to trade, and see if there is anyone among us at the end of the month who still has enough margin left to trade a micro. Kind of like survivor, but different (we already have seen that no one gets voted off of ET). I'd like to see some of these guys who are the real trading experts show me how its done.
