Filled while taking my son to school. I have a stop at 20 in case something strange happens when I'm not looking, but I'm not likely to take any loss on this at all. Trying to take some +4's to cover the rest of the trade here. I didn't have the order in when 32's traded so I'm waiting. I have sell stops at +3 on a few for the time being in case I don't get filled on the 31.75 sell limits.

Nice call! I wasn't watching the ES so didn't see it in realtime, but you nailed it!

I do not trade Globex often, and I do not leave "day trades" go overnight but for very rare occasion. But I do check every morning, and if there is an obvious set up, I'll place a limit order. Some days, like yesterday, it filled after the RTH open. Today it filled before the open. I prefer RTH fills because these pre-mkt trades are more susceptible to re-tests, i.e. we are more likely to see 27's or even lower trade between now and the opening scrum than had the fill occur during or after the opening scrum ... especially as we have a bit of data coming at 8:30 that could be disruptive.

I only mentioned this one set up here today to beat your "guru" to the punch lol.

If you like his trade method, which it seems you do, you should get a hold of Halsey's book for a decent overview. I know he also has a trading room or chat room service, but from the free videos I have seen of his he is often one or two swings behind the times, so I would suggest you learn the basic mechanics, and then study the market to apply it yourself. After all, I assume there is a reason some write books and run fee based chat rooms while others make too much actually trading to be bothered, right?

I like you a lot B1, I really do. You are obviously a good guy, a good grandfather, and you love golf. I'd love to get together with you and play eighteen some time - I'm sure we'd have a blast.

However, I just cannot look at any chart of the ES and see how you can say you are an support/resistance trader when you seem repeatedly to sell tests of support and the one long I've seen you take recently you bought right at a test of what was, at the time, pretty stiff resistance. I have at least twice seen you short near the low tick, not only of the day but of a brief multi day pullback. And it can hardly be said you risk small amounts. I've seen you take 70+ point hits ... $3500/contract is not a small loss.

And here again, I think I may be able to claim that I am at least somewhat more tansparnt than you. I can explain to the tick, based on prior price movement, why I have placed my orders where I have placed them. Thus far, at least to me, and I assume to others, your methods seem inscrutable, to say the least.

Would you mind offering us a bit more transparency, maybe post a chart with some sort of explanation as to why you are, for example, short 29?

I see a set up now that would have 2926 trade this morning but probably not until after 10 AM Eastern.

If this 33.50 holds as the current rally high off the 27 low, the current HWB is 30.25 with 29.50 the line between the rally likely remaining intact vs a likely retest of the 27 low.

If the rally continues higher, the HWB will need to be adjusted.
