I blocked Overnight so as not to trigger him again with another Sven tweet, but for the rest of you who've been around the block a time or two, this is good to remember that it is darkest before the dawn, and brightest before nightfall.
That's some sage advice. Somewhere in all of this thread several months ago I wrote something to that effect... that the day we get a vaccine will mark the top.
Today we are on track to best the largest gap open into 52 weeks highs by nearly 300% (prior largest 1.6%).
Very interesting to see Nasdaq lagging big time here -- it does make sense, though. It feels like a sell the news day but we are in a sweet spot seasonally through the end of the year so I'm not ready to call a top yet.
I read that seasonal flu vaccines are often less than 50% effective, even less for Corona type viruses, last maybe 6 months, and are less effective on those aged over 45 years old versus the general population. Had a conversation with my roommate’s girlfriend this morning. She is a doctor who studied virology who was not impressed by the news. However, she also said she felt Coronavirus was overblown. Worse than the flu, but still overblown.
