Uncertainty. Nervous nellies waiting for someone to take the lead one way or the other. Volumes across the board are low. The spring is coiling.... but which way is it pointing?
I believe it all comes down to how soon a new stimulus is passed and how close to that $600 plus-up they come. If the plus-up is too small, down we go. If it is $600, market will be at all time highs in hours or days.
Thanks Vanzy. XLF. As to question which way... if you think the runup has been a retrace of the initial down, which would be indicative of low volume by itself, then the trough you see is signaling the retrace coming to an end. Troughs are interesting in two ways. 1) they are easier to analyze than peaks, as peaks can be made successively with no limit, where troughs can only to go zero volume, which does not happen with normal accessibility to the market. and 2) What comes after a trough? Increased/ing volume.
Exactly. I don't think anyone knows. Covid is huge..... and as much as I like to think I can rise myself above all the bs and see the forest for the trees.... brother this one has me perplexed. I hope some folks here took my advice and bought some Polaroid though... ooops I mean Kodak. @$8. Ok... For full disclosure..... and 'journal integrity' lol.... I did actually buy 200 shares yesterday at $7.90 after I made that post. For fun ya know. I mean wtf...... I knew what was gonna happen. Problem is I had errands to run today.... I sold the 'frs at $15 before the bell even rang. I guess even though I knew..... my god.... I had no idea; not in one f'n day at least. Oh well. I guess if I gave a f I'd really be pissed. We need music.... let me find a song.
And that right there is the secret to successful trading once you're seasoned and know what you're doing. You stopped giving a F. Soon as I start caring my performance goes down. I guess its because successful trading requires you to go against what your basic instincts are telling you to do. Also it helps when trading isn't your only source of income.
Always trade small brother. Always. I don't care how much you know. Always trade small. That and buy land when you're young.Don't listen to anyone who tells you differently. The economy will ebb and flow... but the human race is not going away. Nor is America. -vz
You made $1400 bux. Here, have some cheese with your song. Oh, the summer doldrums where you can make a low-risk long trade and come home to more money in a couple hours than most people in the USA make in a week. Pencils in Technicolor?
