Did I f*ck up, or did I really f*ck up?

I should reverse here but I feel that we're at the high of the night. Anyway, placing a hard stop at 71.50. Don't wish me luck, I'm such a noob.

(I really should stop swing trading. what I make in daytrading I piss away on the swing. :banghead:)

whats your plan here ? We just finished wave 5 on the hourly. Based on how strong this is, shit, it could go either way. My trading plan only allows me to place buy orders in price structure like this. But I'm going to wait for an extended retracement

  5. Current major swing high is at 2871.

I'm short term bullish and expect us to trade higher this week, but I suppose there's a chance we can print a double top at 2871. So, if I were swinging a short here - I'd put my stop at least at 2875 if I already was using a wide stop as your current stop is very close to a resistance line.

Just my two cents of course.

If that's true - you should. Or as a minimum swing trade 1 MES and no averaging down.

Anyway, good luck on the trade! :)

Should be interesting to see where the week takes us.

So you are only looking at RTH values, what about the Globex swing highs and lows, just as important imo

  7. I use both, but the core of my day trading methodology is based on RTH values and associated statistics/patterns. As such - I tend to weigh RTH more. I don't claim that either is right and I know a very successful trader who as far as I know only charts 24/7 charts and pay no particular attention to RTH.

But as far as stop placement goes - I'll certainly agree that Globex values are important.

  8. Triple top and a major reversal from here or consolidation before the next push higher?

We're currently set to open around last week's high from last Monday. Main bias for today would be an up day meaning we'lll first see the low and make the high later in the day.

Normally, I'd look for a pullback down to Friday's High/Close, but since we're opening with such a large gap higher - I think there's a good chance we'll trade higher pretty much from the Open and never look back.

Yeah, might as well. 4 extra points of SL don't matter at this stage and it just might save my cushy bottom. Thanks for the suggestion. :finger:
