  5. Ultimately - I think we go higher today - just not sure in what way. Choppy and undecisive action. But the day is still young. :)

I am scalping longs but ES 2480 is still an area with pretty high probability we hit it. As was discussing last night, I did short some but didn't get many points as it wasn't driving down and didn't want to stay up all night and watch it.

Also think 2480ish will have hard time holding if we do get there.

Congrats, guys, it takes some oranges to make money going long on a -3% day. Kudos to you.

  9. - 3 % day used to be a big deal. Now it's a slow day. :)

Anyway - there's been quite a few days recently opening strongly down, but sporting a strong leg up.

    You're leaning short from here...?

Well it's all about where YOU buy and what you know. Intra-day trading is also about supply in buyers / sellers. Even if market is down a lot, doesn't really matter if selling supply drys up and there's too many shorts, they will do a short squeeze setup to get them out.

Don't get me wrong I'd rather be trading in the direction of the overall market, but none the less I don't look at how much the market is up or down directly, I look at where we are right now and what's going on. Is there a long or short setup here etc.
