Downtrend already negated and reversed before today.

 

You never acknowledged the 'down trend' to begin with, so...

Of course there was a downtrend. It's just that the market can be traded from the long side in a downtrend.

 

And vise versa....short side in an uptrend.

 

What's easier and more profitable, trading long or short in a bear market?

 

Absolutely, but it does take some bank roll, years of previous trading gains locked in and skill to do it. There's not many people in the world that meet all those requirements and have the skill to make money going long in a market like this.
