Posting a 4 fig price is self-explanatory, better than posting 2 figs like a smartass then having to explain yourself.
Mreh, I think most traders can interpolate the extra 2 digits. He's not talking about 3257.50 at this point in time. It is all context. So in his current trade, he is short 3357.50. His stop is 3372.50, and target is 3327.50. Easy peasy.
I'm not sure you have to be glued to the screen to follow along on that rapid of an update, but his current position with stop and target was just updated up there. Above. There.
Ahhhh. Now I understand what you mean by "2 figs". If you like, I'll use the 4 fig here on out. But, like I said above, I try to post as close to the actual trade and the shorter I type the better it will be. FYI back in the old days, they would use only the last 4 digits in the "pit". For example, when the SPOOZ (S&P 500 futures) traded at 3359.25, they would yell "59-25". I'm still kinda used to that convention.
Indeed. In threads like this where people's posts get comingled, confusion can arise. There have been many times where the NQ and ES have the same or similar last 4 digits. For example, one person could be long at 96.00 in ES (3196.00) and another can be short at 96.00 in NQ (8396.00). So by posting only the last four digits, some confusion can be expected.
Dude, this thread is called "ES Journal" for a reason. Why the hell are you posting NQ trades here? Go create a "NQ Journal". Problem solved.
I don't post NQ trades here. Was just giving an example. And others have posted their NQ and YM trades here. You should know this since you've been here since 2004! Oi!
