No follow through on this push lower. More likely we make new highs from here at this point. IMO. Chop chop.
Sometimes I'm even amazed at my own stop and my inner-voice keeps telling me "Ya idiot, why didn't you wait and get in at the stop?"
Very unlikely we'll sell off today anyway and certainly not down to 68,50. Generally, with this type of trading day - the odds of that are well below 10 %.
The market loves round numbers and it loves new highs - 3300 coming up. Some statistical data including today as the last day/week: a. 21 of the 40 last trading days made all time highs. b. 25 of the 40 last trading days closed higher than it opened. c. 27 of the 40 last trading days closed positive (net change) on the day. d. 26 of the 40 last trading days made its low before the high. d. 11 of the last 13 weeks made all time highs. That's right. 11/13 or 85 %.
Weekly prediction: So, we just had a Monday making ATHs and closing at top of the range. Nice. Historically, this pretty much guarantees a weekly positive close (above 3265,75) for the week. Could see a dip from here, but most likely we printed the week low today and should see the week high at somewhere between Wednesday and Friday. PS: Maybe I should start my own thread for posting stuff like this in case people find it 'noisy' in this journal. Let me know.
Go for it. The fact that you modify your predictions based on price action tells me that you are willing to adapt to market conditions. IMHO that is the key to trading these futures contracts.
Shorting the market right at this very time is foolish, the market atm is extremely bullish and is showing zero indication of abating. The time will finally come, but right now is not the time. Is B1 still long? Hope so. This is the problem with many traders, when the opportunity is ripe for great profits, their fear has them sidelined, so all they manage is picking crumbs at best.
The last four out of four times a University located south of the Mason-Dixon line won the National Championship... the S&P has rallied in excess of 10% the following year. HOWEVER... the last time 2 Tigers met... uh-oh.... watch out below. Take note B1. Typical bear market topping action daily. EDIT: btw the way... I'm with Clemson +6. But I'd love to see your team win Speedo.
Bear market topping action? Or bull market topping? Gotta agree, looks like topping but it is showing no sign atm of rolling over, until then, it's not.
