There is no good news out there, on top, Nancy has "officially" stuck her nose into the Hongkong issues. My take is that China's reaction to the interference in its internal affairs will not be good and will affect or derail the trade talks, which, China already sees as the US interfering with its sovereignty on Economic matters.
It sux that your call did not work out. I'm trying the bullshit of beautiful free zero risk gains on the overnight. In at 8327.50. Haven't done this in a while. But since it is the MNQ, I won't burn out my account on the BS. I anticipate a multi-week position now, which will involve a roll into March 2020. Could be looking at many hundreds of dollars of loss here on the roll. Because you people are so in denial on the idea of zero risk.
Hard to bet against this market, but I think there's a chance we have a short term top here (3128, ES).
Well, if trade was as important to markets as the media made it to be, Nancy has found a way to stick it to Donald by derailing negotiations.
I think its a long term top actually. 3200? Yeah maybe, but in all honesty, we really are experiencing "bear market topping action" at this point. I am 100% convinced. For a myriad of reasons. One of my favorite posts here was made by @comagnum several years ago. It was a very simple observation and a very simple post; one sentence actually and I'll paraphrase it. "The market will not correct until every last short is dead". Its so true. We are in a time of incredible uncertainty. Politics at home and abroad. Its there. The thing is, we are just not being told that. And I'm not saying that's by design, its not a conspiracy thing... its just human nature. The world's a powder keg right now... I could go on and on about a dozen different things, at home and abroad. Geopolitical, economical, social. Some day we are all going to look back and say "how did we not see this coming?" I have no idea what its going to be, but enjoy the good times while they last. There will be a 30% pullback. For "journal integrity" I'll play the B1 game here. In short at last night's close of 3117 with a stop at 3229. Target 2670. Near term target.
Buy1, have you found that your style of analysis and trading translates across different products? I know you used to post trades in other commodities. I would be interested to get your thoughts on similarities or differences in those different markets.
