What time does China open tonight? Is EST GMT -5 now? I think it is. Anyway... the China open tonight will be a good tell. 8:30 EST I think. Japan just opened, they're an hour apart.
USA and Euro are back in sync, 5 hour difference. China never did a DST thingy, so they are what they were last winter?
The boy that called wolf once too many times got eaten by the wolf... I think Trump hasn't heard that story.
Well China is up nicely at its open. The DAX, FTSE, and the U.S. ... none are following suit. Vix is flat, major pairs flat... hmmm. Looks like another 8 1/2 point range-bound retail pajama party tonight. The sheepy's are looking for direction and there's none to be found. Trump probably went to bed so no Tweets. Considering how the world is now completely bullish.... even if we're range-bound tonight.... the machines love this.... retail jumping in long. Anyone going long tonight with a tight stop will lose before the open. I'm not saying we won't go up 25 points tomorrow RTH.... I'm just talking about tonight. 3073 will be a good place to rest an order with a stop at 3077 and a target of 3061.
That's what I used to say to myself when nestling in for a long swing sleep. I ain't buying it any longer.
? not followin ya. 77 's the stop. The short's at 73. Target is 61 (this is strictly for the next several hours) Edit.... 11:25 f-it. I don't like it anymore. China keeps creeping up, it looks pretty strong. Dax is up. Vix is down 1% now. No shorting tonight.
Actually, you did: "This bull market has burned me on swings because of Trump." Then you go on ranting again. Trump may be doing all that. He's certainly creating uncertainty and tends to be unpredictable. However, that's a good thing for traders. It seems like people are very emotional about this market and tend to get influenced by their own political biases or conceptions of where the market should be or not. Succcesful trading requires a neutral mindset where you're closely tuned in to the evidence/analysis you're using (or should be using). Holding an opinion of the market being 'too high' or Trump this or that is a big detriment to achieve that.
