My short game is my strength, honestly. My excited disbelief over reaching the green as I did caused a temporary case of the yips.
No action tonight, just machines battling machines for a few points, the gravy being the occasional taking out of the retail stops and their money along with it. Wait for a series of of 2 or 3 spikes in the same direction, may or may not come, but be patient and wait to go long at 2970 or short at 2994. Then take 5 points. Automate that setup with stops in place and go to bed.
just inside three feet ... then came up short with the ball right at the edge of the cup. Less than a 1/4 roll from dropping. The first putt was the real killer though, as the line was right but speed way too slow as putter caught turf before ball. I f'd it up for sure. Too bad to have wasted such a pretty drive, as I don't usually drive the ball 340 lol (it wasn't even my driver - it was a five wood set to 3 wood loft - like I said above I accidentally hit the ball perfect. Landed middle of the fairway and took a long forward bounce and caught the downward slope toward the green and gravity and ball speed did the rest. I don't hit them that far often at all. Then again, I don't usually hit my sand wedge 160 ... but when I do, it's from a greenside bunker.
lol ... as we stood there looking at the ball sitting right on the edge my son said "if only you had a magic sharpie" lol
Ahhh.... you missed the best one to post for the matter at hand here. "The Big Bang" composed by Johnny Mandel. He's still alive too btw. 93 yo. Lives up there there by you. Won a pile of Grammy's. Remember the MASH theme-song? "Suicide Is Painless". That was him too. Possibly one of America's best composers for real. History will judge.
