They should have asked Burt how to do it. Now THERE is a man who knows proper disintegration yields...And the danger of the missiles a large explosion produces.
I feel you should. You make some really great calls, and from what I can tell, you fess up when you are wrong. I am still in awe of how you called that bottom at beginning of June this year, that was awesome. Hold yourself accountable! It is refreshing! Come on, everyone else is doing it. (Peer pressure) hehe.
A decade or so would see vast changes in available tools, mindset, herd mentality, Funds decision processes, Fed thinking, and so on, not least changing tolerances to risk and different people at the helm. I personally don't pay much attention to historical data going back more than a decade. Impacts/actions then to similar events now must, to some extent, produce different results. My own decision making based on symmetry of movements, seldom goes back more than 12 months. i.e. the probability of the same people at the helm reacting the same way to a similar event is high, that probability diminishes with time. Applying this principal I can average a very decent ROI.
I guess I feel people is people ... just as stupid, greedy, fearful, and cunning as they always were.
