I didn't day trade during the financial crisis and haven't done any extensive historical studies yet. Does the recent volatility or moves resemble what was going on back then? I don't recall what the average daily range/% change was in that time. Obviously asking those of you who either traded back then or have otherwise knowledge of it.
I traded before and since but was helping family open a business at the time. I did trade during the tech crash of 2000-2001 however and volatility was extreme. People who knew what they were doing cleaned up and those who didn't got hammered.
very good day, but man it's been boring. Just straight down, really. I like intraday volatility with up and down swings to keep me from falling asleep!
post your trades like I do then, dammit. Why should I be the only one to embarrass myself!! ? (usually. Not today, though ) Basically trade off of the 5 min chart.
For the same reason I don't pay attention to anyone else's trades. It's irrelevant as we each have our own trade plan (hopefully). 5 minute is slower than what I trade so I suppose it could be "boring" today.
Nice. On your 3rd long - you're stochastic seems to be in 'neutral' zone compared to your prior two where the double stochastic is at 15. Care to elaborate?
