this holiday is not one of the big ones.

if long from below, maybe not take profit here...wait for afterhour reopen? see what happens...plenty of time to cash out..esp with the PA here

i see a rising wedge on the 1h, no good reason to short here until 1880 breaks

 

1800 is below last thurs low? My TF is not usually that long. If this goes sour, i'll be out my trade long before that.

A test of 1800 is not a guarantee of a successful short. the low of 1/20 (RTH)was about 1804. 1800 could be a bottom?

 

If the market is all green to go higher, the MM will flush out all the longs first.

If the market is still in corrective trouble, the stops to the upside are hit before rolling over.

 

Good observations, but market is random.

 

Correction: Mostly random punctuated by periods of incredible consistency.
