Today was a net gain of 12.25 pts at 10 to 1 margin. This is the equivalent percentage-wise to 122.50 ES points (minus commissions of course).
I can't believe I am even wasting my time posting, but whatever happened to this trade? https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/es-journal-2016.296717/page-215#post-4352830 You were supposed to be long from 2118.50 which would have filled pretty much right at 10am, just over an hour after you posted. Now you might claim that you never entered, but your post makes it seem pretty clear you would since you had in a stop to go long. Had this been a winner, I'm sure you would have posted your gain. But since this is clearly a loser, why is there no update? Seriously, dude, people keep asking you over and over to post your accumulated PnL, but you totally disregard their request. You update when you feel like it, and often, don't even follow through with each trade to post an exit. What is the point of you posting all this if you're not going to be meticulous with your trade calls and follow up each and every single one?
Why do you guys give him a hard time, hes not selling anything or claiming to be the worlds greatest trader. I believe this is the longest running public trading journal anywhere. I remember back in 08-10 this was a vibrant place with many people posting their own ES trade ideas. Pretty quiet place now..
Are you saying or implying trading is hard now ..Like every exciting time in trading history...it becomes crowded with so-called experts and gurus...but as the tide rolls back out...very few can stand the test of time.
He may not be outright selling, but he gets into discussions constantly about trading, trading edge, saying how trade management is the only edge, etc. So when someone says something, you would like to see them apply this. With this guy's trades, well, the ones he follows up on, his "risk" is all over the place. He makes a point today to outline his wins, but if we saw such careful accounting of his losses as well, then perhaps traders coming here to learn would have a more complete view of the picture. I do agree that it sounds like this place was better years ago, but if you aren't going to state your exit on each and every single trade that you say you enter, its actually better to not even talk about your entry.
Thanks for posting!!-------I posted just before noon Eastern. Market never traded high enough to fill my buy stop.
