I agree that ES is very well-behaved compared to CL, but I'm a bit of an ADD scalper and CL serves that personality well I usually only trade ES in the last hour, I found out years ago it's difficult for me to focus on both.
long CL 93.05 = stopped / -10 long CL 93.05 = closed 93.45 / + 40 ahead of news long CL 93.50 = stopped .40 / -10 into news long CL 93.85 = closed 94.36 / +51 around the 10:50am entry mark some other 0-cent scratches as well meanwhile, ES and TF remain 100% sideways dead again... more sessions than not so far in 2014. Cannot highly profit from symbols that consistently string sideways. The lifeblood of short-term trading is volatility, and so far stock markets have none of that yet.
