The large candles you see are instigated by one large buyer or seller that sends a ripple through the system..that ripple is coat tailed by other large buyers or sellers.. If another large buyer or seller took the opposing side of the transaction, the candle would be small. So the large candles you've seen since 1380's are instigated by 1 inciting buyer. That buyer is larger then other competing buyers or sellers in the marketplace.
The price action is painted by 1 buyer or seller that incites it. If that buyer has enough funds he can literally force opposing side of the transaction to buy tops and sell bottoms. Sentiment is engineered by the largest buyer or seller. The general market is controlled or corralled by these inciters.. Look into what FED has done to the bond market, a much larger market then equities. They have literally destroyed the opposing side of the trade.
Spectre........ But there HAVE to be purchases or sells of the SP500 individual stocks. Who's wagging who? The FED has set up a scenario where the only _perceived) way to make gains is the stock market whether through dividend or growth. This is the expected result. I do not dismiss grand manipulation, but there are other factors at work besides "they", "them, "those", etc. pushing it around. Also, many of your lines have touched price only twice....not too sure you can say the price is "reacting" to the lines in those cases. It is hindsight. No offense of course.
The fed is the bond market.. It's the equity market too.. The sentiment is being shifted .. All the rah rah rah ers on tv ..are just muppets.. It's a printed artificial environment only lasts while the printing continues.. What would economic sentiment be if spooz were trading in the high 1200's.. All the muppets would be crying about their bonuses.
Look at what happened to SP ratings agency once they downgraded USA.. Why didn't the last set of downgrades occur?. Don't get me wrong I think the FED is doing a wonderful job creating goldilocks economy, .. It can be sustained even if the price of the USD gets cut 50% relative to other currencies. We create wars and disorder and destroy wealth to prop up our own living standards.
