  1. Beautiful, had not even thought of this! I use chrome and just found an extension called "ChromeReload" that will do the trick I think! Thanks :)

Does anyone has last 8-10 yrs of ES tick data or even 30sec/1 minute data ?

If so, please PM me, I will use the data to develop systematic strategies and in return for data - I will share at least 1 systematic strategy with the data provider - with PF > 1.75 or if I can find something with PF >2.00. I estimate it will take me around 15 days to 2 months to develop a working strategy.

I am pretty good at developing systematic strategies. Developed quite a few of them for FX - pretty successful.

  6. Joshdance, How do you cope with a stop being hit then immediately reversing to go the way you had hoped it would go? I am pretty sure this happens a lot with the system you have. Do you re-enter or just sit on your hands?

  7. Well this morning I re-entered which was a good call. Other times I just miss out. I'm not really very good at re-entering, though this is one of my focuses for this year.

  8. It's a tough nut to crack, and I struggle with it too. A lot of times my entries come when the TICK is either testing 0 or testing either -600 or +600. Sometimes I will get in on a test of the 0 line, and then realize that it's going to push further to either +/- 600. As long as the condition for the opposing trade doesn't show up, I try and stay in or at least just set a limit order for a b/e exit.

  9. The irony is that when I first started trading about a year ago, I was up like $3000 in a week and a half. I was startled. I used a trendline trading type system. Of course I lost it all back. But, during the first couple of months I was able to catch some big swings netting 10 to 20 points plus, but also lost it all back to the market.

I am somewhat tainted by these historical events and now-a-days my trading has brought me down to scalping for 2 points and my over-all p&l has been on break-even terms. Oh, I long to catch a 10 point plus moves one of these days. Ah, the good ole days.
