  2. Actually, I`m barely green for the day.

I took a 3,5 point hit, which I rarely do and that ate into profits. Whenever I do adjust my stop here, I usually type: "I will probably regret this" and I usually do. Today was no exception.

That's why I said to gmst that I prefer taking a small stop and getting back in again at the same price or better. If I did that on the 3,5 point losing trade, I would have been much better off today.

    Tomorrow's a new day. :)

y, I agree typing is a problem sometimes and managing the trade should have absolute priority. Had no mistakes throught that in managing but missed a few setups that I could have executed or at least prepared as pending. Trading low time frames should actually allow no distractions at all but it's boring as you probably agree.

  4. Rickshaw will probably stop by any minute now to mock the shorts.

    +16,5 points already.

Do you want to adjust your stop and target, Rickshaw?

I think we continue higher tomorrow. Need to at least fill that SPY gap, but will probably go higher than that.

  5. If SPY gaps up tomorrow, short it with all you've got.

  6. Maybe?

What's the rationale behind that call?

  7. 2 straight gap up days without a fill. If tomorrow is a 3rd gap up, very high probability it fills.

  8. Cool.

Btw, I was not saying I was expecting a gap up, but that we would fill the old gap on SPY tomorrow.

I will do a study on your "three gaps up" later tonight. :)

    Btw, today's gap was filled?

  9. It missed by 2 cents. Or is that still considered a gap fill?

  10. Okay, you're looking at SPY, I see.

I only look at ES and that one was filled to the tick.

Not really sure if it is considered a gap fill or not. I would think yes, probably. FWIW, my model does not count an open that's +- 2,0 ES points as a gap. I call that a flat open.

Not saying that's right or wrong, just how I look at it.
