We are looking at a 16 pts downgap, so the bottom was obviously not in.

  3. If you are looking at ES 06-17 contract how do you get a 16pt downgap? Just to round it down. I have a close 2343 and an opening gap 2337 = 6 points

I think he just meant 16 points down so far.

  8. Does anyone here ever correctly call bottoms/tops? I can't imagine a strategy that requires you to call bottoms/tops ever working consistently.

It's a significant portion of what I do when I trade. I don't necessarily call them out in public, but I look for them and trade them .

For example, unless I see an obvious top in a uptrending market, I will continue buying pullbacks etc. and using stops if wrong.
