I'm amused by the fact that Cantor's pollsters kept telling him that he was way ahead. Anybody who sucks that badly at their job should not only be fired, they should be required to refund at least half of their fees.

  2. Weaker in the sense that the party, rightly or wrongly, will be viewed as more divided than ever, especially by the media. That plays into the hands of the dems. Yes, the big business crowd just got a message sent to them. Will they listen remains to be seen. Will the new guy get any support for the GOP establishment? Remains to be seen, but I'd bet it'll be tepid at best.
The message is crystal clear and has been for quite some time. The population by in large isn't happy with the leftist shift in government policy, especially regarding immigration. The question is, does either party establishment really care, or will they continue to do as they please?

  3. No. The old message was like Tom Hagen trying to persuade Jack Woltz to give Johnny Fontane the part. Last night was Woltz's horse's head in his bed.

  4. So we should be expecting a check from Obama any day now?

  5. :D True enough, but the question still remains, will this criminally corrupt government finally do what the people want, or will they continue to do as they please? One guy isn't going to change that which is why I say unless the dems are willing to purge some of their own, this government will continue to shift left. It'll do so because the GOP establishment is no longer practicing conservative values. They have bought into the MSM driven "big tent" bullshit.

  6. It's not about one guy. It's about the pendulum being pushed way too far to the left and people getting fed up enough to turn the conventional wisdom on its head. The mid-term elections will confirm or not just how serious people are about getting the country back on track but I'm optimistic because last night was huge.

agreed! I was stunned and overjoyed at the same time. Had I had the chance, I'd have voted for Lassie over Cantor.

Its time the Rs... make an offer Obama can't refuse and defund Obamacare.
You want to be in R leadership... send over the budget in pieces the way he had been for decades... with one missing piece.

You are the house of representatives... now act like you represent the people.

Next... negotiate secure borders or you will defund entire arms of the federal govt that Obama has turned into a leftist mafia.

Cantor to step down from house leadership July 31st. Say what you want about the man, but he will go quietly into that good night, and with honor (accepting his defeat graciously).
