We are just dogs with a bad master?

Skinner in the 1950s, described a variable schedule of rewards, also referred to as “intermittent reinforcement.”

Skinner observed that lab mice responded most voraciously to random rewards. The mice would press a lever and sometimes they'd get a small treat, other times a large treat, and other times nothing at all. This unfortunately creates greater loyalty than consistency.

Some days you get a treat...some days something evil does...

Without a general state of disorder, a narcissist can't control others as easily. With very good order they have almost no control at all.

  2. Yeah, I heard about that. Fascinating stuff. It may explain a need for a god in the absence of one. The fact that only "some" prayers get answered but not others. That there seems to be justice sometimes but not always. "Almost" like it was random. But, of course, it couldn't possibly be random...;)

Which may explain why one orange politician who will remain unnamed only seems to flourish in a state of chaos, and to the detriment of others.
