EPA: Fiat Chrysler software enabled emissions cheating

    This is a maddening idea. "Tuning a car" to have low emissions.

    Just stick a probe in the pipe, measure it's emissions and deal with it. WTF is wrong with the people who run these companies?

    So how much money did VW have to spend to settle this nastiness, rather than sell a few less cars because it wasn't up to the "performance expectations" of the world? Jeez man, it's not like VWs were known for huge performance. Fuckers. I hate when people at the top, or in the upper-middle, think they can get away with pulling the wool over the eyes of the world just so they can make an extra buck or three. Fuck them!

    I hope they, and all other auto manufacturers, learned their lesson here.

    Actually VW known for there 150bhp 2.0l diesel units guess they wanted to keep that.

    Mate has his fixed slighty slower slightly worse mpg he says but not worth the expense they've made themself.
