I would be interested in your results. As I mentioned in the other thread I'm still trying to figure how to combine the OR concept with the EOD (end of day) concept. ACD is along the lines of my trading style, but intergrating in swing trading (vs day) is not so simple.

  2. I let the algo get me in to some positions today. EUR/USD short and EUR/GBP long triggered, which of course makes me short GBP/USD, which was my third bias I had the algo running on but it didn't trigger. I'm not sure what that means lol but I am up 50ish pips on the two positions right now. There are not stops or targets just some rules to get out when conditions trade. I will manually close...

  4. I was checking the markets this morning and didn't like the look of my GBPUSD long so took a loss on it and went short USDJPY, got lucky with the news release for a pretty nice profit that I closed out with my phone at work and got long GBPUSD again by the end of the day. I'm still getting the hang of working with my tools I'm creating. I traded pretty sloppy this week but I was generally on the right side of the market.

The stock thing is looking really good. I finished the portfolio backtester and I'm seeing very promising results. The issue is that I would really like to long/short the top and bottom 10 stocks from the SP500, and to do that I will have to trade odd lots given my account size. I need to put in the orders the day before and I'm just not sure how good of executions I can get. Fortunately in general my positions take a small loss on day 1 and take 3-5 days to reach max profit so I think I can put in limit orders the night before and give them all day to execute. Only one way to find out I guess...

I was talking about this project with a friend of mine a few weeks ago...He never told me before but he has low 7 figures he manages on his own in real estate and other random stuff. If I get good results with this account on a % basis its mine to manage for a 20% cut. He wanted me to start right away I told him I want to get a solid 6-12 months of real world data with my own money first lol.

  10. I was up early before work today and saw that my GBP positions were doing fairly well and decided to close them ahead of the elections Thursday. Looks like I got lucky on the timing and today I am seeing some weakness in the GBP so would have closed them anyways. In fact if it wasn't for the elections I would short GBPJPY today.

EURJPY short is looking good to hold. I guess I was wrong on the metals so far, but just sold a few oz's of physical so no big deal.

New trade, short AUDJPY. Reason is that I am seeing Yen strength on all my pairs, weakness in the AUDJPY data itself, and still think there is a chance of a metals selloff that could help this trade.
