.. B.S. it's not a free market anymore, in what other "market" can you sell something that you DO NOT OWN? If you think the price of gas is going down at your local station, you wait to fill up. You don't go, take their gas, set up your own station and sell the gas hoping to buy the gas back from the station at lower prices. Markets consist of BUYERS and SELLERS.. not BUYERS, SELLERS and SHORTS... get over it

I expected that, obviously this effects some people's strategies, including to a certain extent mine... but these are the facts.. furthermore, it's just a temporary ban on shorting to stop the carnage from feeding on itself because it was truly getting ridiculous.

The two rebuttals to my argument have been "go fuck yourself" and "c'mon now" -- try again guys. They're just buying time until a better solution comes, then short selling will be allowed again.
