Enough of the Mob?

  1. Obama, the constitutional law professor, has been in office for seven months and already people who have the temerity to ask critical questions at supposedly open forums are called thugs, members of a mob or agent provacatuers. Clearly, this type of language is designed to justify a crackdown on them, either by the government or by democrat thugs. He has already set up a website for traitors to be ratted out. Can anyone imagine the reaction of the NY Times if Bush had done that?

His crackdown on dissent shouldn't surprise anyone. Marxists and dicators always try to demonize their opponents as enemies of the people or the revolution or the fatherland and silence them. Obama grew up on this type of hardline marxism, and it comes instinctively to him.

He ran as a "new" type of politician, and we are rapidly seeing that is one of the few accurate things he said. Only, he is not the post-partisan, consensus-seeking moderate the media imagined, but rather a hardline marxist, cut from the same cloth as his role models the Castro brothers and Hugo Chavez.
