    Energy Market Preview by Trade the News

    - The EIA releases its weekly inventory data today at 10:30 a.m. Crude inventories are expected to have risen 1.0M barrels, gasoline inventories to have climbed 2.0M barrels, distillate inventories to have fallen 4.0M barrels. The refinery utilization rate is seen rising 0.25%.
    - Late yesterday afternoon Valero Energy said that two fires at its 191K b/d Delaware City Refinery won't materially impact fuel production at the plant. The crude unit at the plant is still running.
    - Chinese oil demand in 2006 rose 9.3% Yesterday, the IEA upped its forecast for Chinese oil demand in 2007 to 7.56M b/d from 7.35M b/d.
    - On the weather front, Accuweather wrote on its website today that an intensifying Nor'easter will not show any love to the Northeast this Valentine's Day as a blizzard rages across the interior as well as New England with a treacherous wintry mix along the Interstate 95 corridor from Boston to Washington, D.C. With the storm now greatly impacting the Northeast, drier weather will allow the Midwest and South to start cleaning up after Tuesday's storminess.
    - At 8:10 a.m. crude futures are down $0.13 at $58.93.
