flat tax? Isn't that what we have now? Everybody, regardless of race creed or color or family background or political connections pays the exact same flat rate of income tax based on their income. And the flat tax is a progressive flat tax, so people with higher incomes pay a higher rate flat tax. otherwise, 90% of what ET posters consistently bitch about could easily be solved by eliminating the corporate income tax.
oh, don't worry about that, I'm about to take a lot of deep breaths tonight (another one of the benefits of being a free American in a free country)
(Hint: Taxes that are collected go to fund MANY facets of government.) SO, PLEASE STOP TRYING TO TWIST AND DISTORT MY POSTS. IN FACT, YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO PUT ME ON IGNORE. PLEASE DO.
you said anybody who is protected by the military should pay taxes. Right? Isn't that what you said? How did I distort your words in anyway? I think our misunderstanding may be on the definition of the word "protected." and no, I would never put you (or anybody) on ignore, you are one of my favorite posters. I like you because you always try your best to be polite.
I have a question: Why didn't America have an income tax before the Federal Reserve System was created?
