we don't have emigrant in PA those rates are good, but most of them offered by online banks. i personally like to walk in branch,where you can see and deal with people, not like done everything over the phone or online. only beneficial offer 2.5% on checking acc in PA.

No, it is not necessary, like all of the threads on ET. However it could be useful to some people on ET, unlike about half the threads on ET.
