you know what just come to my house and I'll show you in real-time with real-money much better than to have this insane discussion i was searching for fellow users but it makes me even happier that the opinion here is so bad about it, good for me
I've used them for about 6mths or so, with little success. Their methods and logic is sound, but I just felt that the results represented were far too optimistic for real time execution. Also, a lot of times it seemed liek they were getting filled when the market exactly hit the price. As most of us know, in real time trading you need the market to move by at least the bid ask for you to get a fill. Not that hit-and-and fills don't happen, just that it is a little dubious when it happens too often. I also found that they do not take all the trades per the "system" . . . a lot of times the results excluded many losers and I had to ask Jusin to adjust the results, just so that I could track my performance with theirs over time. Another thing I found is that their signals (as reviewed end of day on the website) do not always coincide with what you will have and that there are latency issues . . . if you reload your data, you may get the same signals you see on the reviews but those signals are not always there in real time unless you want to refresh your data every half-minute/minute or so . . . even then, not all the signals will be there real-time . . . I did like their market profile commentary and it helped me gain an understanding of it . . . and the auction market in conjunction with reading the CBOE book on market profile . . . In all, I think basic price action and context theory from a higher fractal chart probably does you more justice than this system, so I do recommend that you get some basic education on PA first and see how that works for you. If at some point in the future I do have money I can afford to lose, I might re-subscribe to the service for some 2-3mths just to see how my own performance compares to theirs and whether it is worth it afterall . . .
Hey TJ, where do you live? I will come to your home to review this for a week, if you will have me over during trading hours? . . . Please PM me . . . I definitely would like to know what part of my analysis was wrong . . .
i agree with most of what you say, and must confess that my above statement about my emdt performance was so far too optimistic what i am sure abt. is that emdt trade with real money and that the p&l is accurate (they report regularly that they haven't been filled at a specific price, so "bad" or no fills are included) but the fact is that it's impossible to get exactly the same P&L you may be better or worse software and datafeed is indeed a problem, best I have found out is to dis- and re-connect Ninja to AMP i am still trading with it, and trying to become profitable with it
what i can say though is that the emdt guys (Dave & Justin) are 100% thrustworthy and helpful (cannot say that abt. all people i 'v egot to know in the trading industry) what is also good, is that they offer a good-forever fee (ie regular commentaries and software updates)
finally stopped trading with their stuff they do trade in real and are profitable with it but that doesn't automatically mean that oneself does I don't think that a lot of people can match their published results
some people are very good at making it look like their profitable with something, but the truth is their not. How much money did they get from you?
as i said above: it's good what they offer, they DO trade themself and earn good money with it (100% sure), they offered help and always answer emails BUT I wasn't able to make profits, although I tried hard for 1 year and I don't think that I am the only one who has problems with it general statement: even though other people have a good system, earn money with it and offer it to others, there's no guarantee that it works for you
That's bull shit. They're selling a system, and after a year you couldn't get it to work. Don't blame yourself, blame the system. Sounds like a system that always wins in hindsight. There are many like that. Just look at all the half back buys/ sells. In hindsight that's a profitable system, but in real life it doesn't work. You just barely miss entry on the good trades, but you always catch all the bad ones. Some systems are made so complex, you would never be able to prove the system is bull shit. How do you know they trade it with real money? Any proof of that?
don't worry, i am not blaming myself just saying that the system is not completely bullshit and that their results aren't fake. they describe their trades after every day the problem is: their performance got worse over the last 20 months so based on that the systematic trades achieve 1-2 points/day net problem: very complicated set-ups, need a fast pc and connection so if one has trouble in taking each and every system trade - either bc of not or falsely recognizing one, or bc the software showed things not accurately - and maybe miss 1 or even 2 points you have a problem i don't know other people who trade with it so i can only tell my experience
