I wasn't paying attention... this sounded too good to be true. What's a calendar spread?

  3. You can get short the Stock!!!

It trades on the New York and it's symbol is CME.

    Probably, not a bad idea!

The days of making easy money off other people's slippage are coming to an end.

Its time to learn to trade directionally - either that or go back to tending bar. :(

A smaller tick means more business is shifted to the electronic market. The CME makes much more money on electronic trades than on pit trades. This is good for CME's stock.

Plus, I believe that the CFTC is cracking down on the wider spreads that have grown in the pit as a result of the .25 emini arbitrage and pit collusion to capture more of the arb.

Good trading to all. I have no personal hostility to any of you (including Nitro) and wish you the best.

  7. How many contracts did you trade last month?

I traded over 70,000. Not many, I know.

I've been directional (trading) and many other types of trading for many years.

Plus, I can always whip up an X-tra dry for me and the boyz.

    You?

    :p

  9. When I first into the business I had to pick up the phone and call the floor.

    I think I'll be alright.

This is when 3 (pre-split $500 contracts) S&P points was a good day.
