  1. One trade in the other method +5.25. Nothing using this method again. I'll start the thread, but because there is more to it than this, it'll take time to cover all the rules. Unfortunately it uses more discretion than this, so I'm sure it won't be everyone's favorite.

No reason to give away the store, unless you really want to.

Well if you explain it as clearly as you did on this thread,
it will be a treat to read.

If it as successful as this method,
it will be a treat to trade.

I wouldn't say it's unanimous. At the least, you should put a great deal of thought into whether or not you want to show everything you've got. Put it off till Monday, anyway.

If you're doing so because you've been disappointed in the performance so far this month and you want to make a better showing, remember that it's August. Just waiting a few weeks may make all the difference. And if not, at least you've given readers a lot to work with, enough to come up with their own variations anyway.

IMO, your strategy has worked very well in doing what it's supposed to do, i.e., keep you out of losing trades. This is a valuable lesson to be learned. Not exciting to watch, but a valuabale lesson nonetheless. I suggest you stay the course and explain why you're NOT taking particular trades, even if they seem to fall within your criteria. Show your readers how your discretion enters into your trades. Show how you handle the inevitable downtimes. Teach a few practical lessons about discipline.

  7. I don't have time right now to respond to your post. I've got to shower, shave and head off to work. I appreciate your concerns and am thankful you took the time to post. I'll try to post a more thoughtful response tomorrw.

  8. Post away. Double Tops and Double Bottoms with divergence are a good combo.

You guys are nuts if you think posting here is going to alter the course of the S&P.

May the Force by with You.

No need to respond. It's your journal and you can put whatever you like in it. But think about whether or not you're considering putting in too much. It's easy to get carried away on message boards.

I agree completely! And if you'd like to share this method, no pm, what better time than when things are slow with method #1? Everyone's going to be busier soon, so please post away if you're comfortable doing so.

Especially if these forums are assisting you in some way, whether through increased discipline or the mutual feedback process.

If it's a pain, that's understandable too. Of course we'd love to see your info, but of course no one will blame you if you don't share.

    Best,

    Mark

P.S. Is that shower and then shave? Or the other way around? Or at the same time?
