no pm, I'm curious about the lows of those two bars as reflected on your chart. Trying to pin down where the data discrepancy is. My broker's charts, from yet another data vendor, agree with mine. That the 10:50 bar made the low of the day at 973.00, and the low of the 11:00 bar was 973.10. Your chart shows the 11:00 going lower than the 10:50 bar, which would seem to indicate that the 11:00 bar made the daily low. When you have a chance, could you post the lows of these two bars, as reflected by your chart? Thanks, Mark
Using qcharts the low of the 10:50 bar was 973.2 and the 11:00 bar was 973.1 . Interestingly, the low of the Chaikin oscilator was made (as per my Wealth-Lab set up) at 10:45 and not 10:50. Richard

1. ADX crosses above 30 at 10:55 bar. 2. Divergence wasn't very clear. Started at 11:00 bar and was the last down bar. 3. Entry at the beginning of the 11:10 bar (first up bar after divergence confirmed). Buy at 975.00. SP open was at 974.70 so there was some slippage. Keltner width was 7.18 so stop used was 2.50. Stop set at 972.50. 4. Trade exited when Keltner Channel touched 978.25 at 12:20pm. Entry long 975.00 Exit long 978.25 Profit(loss) +3.25 Risk 2.50 Risk/reward this trade 1.3 Cumm. trades since 8/1 # wins 7 # loss 1 Profit of winners +38.75 Loss of losers -3.0
Per Time and Sales, 10:47:24 a 973.50 trade was cancelled and replaced by a 973.00 trade. (good 'ole pit price reporting!) The low for that 5min bar BEFORE that insert was 973.20. Any data vendor showing the low to be 973.20 for that 5 min bar apparently is not processing correction messages from the CME.
Nice trade, no_pm. Now I see why there was no divergence on my ES chart, looks like the SP was the "spikey" one this go 'round, since your 10:55 bar took out the low of the 10:45 bar, while on the ES the 10:55 bar had a higher low.
I guess this was a trade that should have never been. Hopefully we'll get some clearer signals so that everybody can see the same trades.
Thanks 3dog, that explains it. The time corresponds to exactly where that one tick shows up for me. Any idea about the low on the 11:00 bar? (Since you seem to be a data guru )
