Emails are just like Benghazi

  1. This is reminding me of Obama's birthplace controversy. Either he's not qualified to be President of the US or he lies to get some educational benefits. Either way he's sort of suspect and not qualified. With Hillary it's either she's incompetent or she's selling state secrets, either way she's not qualified to hold office.

  3. you republicans are still mired in the mud of compentency and trustworthiness. To a democrat the end justifies the means. They are willing to make us miserable our whole life to finally achieve their goal. All a republican wants to do is feel good. And Reagan made us feel good.

  4. Just my guess:

A possibility would be people working in foreign affairs using a separate server independently from the main server could be quite normal for IT security purpose.

Perhaps a standard protocol in their profession, especially when requiring a lot of travels staying/living overseas hotels, sometimes in opponent and underdeveloped countries, that could easily cause worries (or real risks) of security compromise, unavoidable whenever using the Internet!

Rather than logging in directly on the main server for accessing required documents. Having assistants manually to transfer files physically, instead of electronically, is a must.

All is done in order to protect the main server.

    Worth 2 cents.

State Department wanted Hillary Clinton to use official government email address but top aide Huma Abedin pushed back

    * Emails from August 2011, show State Department Executive Secretary Stephen Mull making arrangements to get Hillary Clinton a Blackberry

    * Mull said he'd provide her with 'two versions' - one with a State Department email address, which would hide her identity but be subject to FOIA

    * Another would allow Clinton to make phone calls and surf the web

    * Abedin pushed back saying that the State Department Blackberry 'doesn't make a whole lot of sense'

According to Kirby, the non-official account Kerry employed to send these messages from his iPad is no longer active.

The Washington Examiner notes these Kerry-Clinton emails were “included among a small batch of records made public by the State Department Friday.”

Before we even get into the “born classified” argument about foreign information, which would suggest some of these “retroactive” classifications aren’t as retroactive as Administration apologists would like us to believe, we should note these emails are further evidence of Administration officials deliberately concealing the existence of Clinton’s irregular email account.

We’ve already seen documentation proving that President Obama lied when he claimed to be unaware of Clinton’s homebrew email server – he sent numerous messages to the ClintonEmail.com address.

Now we have documented proof that John Kerry knew about her email in 2011, when he was in the Senate… but the State Department under Secretary of State Kerry didn’t admit the existence of Clinton’s server, or any of her hidden emails, until forced to do so by the House Benghazi Committee.

Just because Obama sent emails to Hillary Clinton does not mean he was aware the email address was not on the government network.

Most email systems simply shows the person's name "Clinton, Hillary" in the email to and from address bar. They do not display the entire email address. If Obama sent email to Hillary's private server he was probably totally unaware he was doing this.

the one I use most is gmail. In my inbox I the name and the address next to it.
When I am sending an email... as I type the name gmail populates email addresses. .

Since, no one has claimed such ignorance, my bet would be that the sender or receiver does see the address.

It would be odd to have secure systems and not have the sender or receiver be aware of where they were sending the email or know from where it came.

You would think the President's e-mail system has some type of extra notification when the intended addressee is out of the secure network.

In most corporate and government email systems using Exchange and other email software the user does not see the email address by default - merely the name. They would need to click on the name and dig into the profile and go to the tab for email address to see if the email address was external or internal.
