They merely were quoting Trump's State Department Spokesperson. As a media outlet NPR is pretty factual and attempts to get quotes & information from all parties associated with a story rather than only presenting one side of the information like Fox does.

 

Contract was under Biden administration per multiple sources. You might want to stand down at this point instead of crabwalking away from it with some other issues.

Hint: There is NO Contract from the Biden administration to purchase $400 Million in Armored Teslas. There is only a small contract to explore the purchasing of electric vehicles from multiple manufacturers.

So explain to us why Tesla's name disappeared from the proposed contract after the story came to light. Then in less than 24 hours the plan is halted. This is what happens when daylight is poured on government grift.

The size of the contract is context of the total size of the company's revenue is meaningless.

This proposed contract is a classic example of government waste in purchasing unneeded items due political considerations rather than actual need. Armored Electric vehicles for diplomats which would mainly be used in third world countries without electric charging infrastructure are useless as tits on a bull. This is the type of nonsense that DOGE is supposed to be eliminated.

 

Bs... at least with respect to the way it is being depicted in the MSM. $400M is couch change to TSLA Inc... and at an 8% gross margin (on a good quarter).... it's a penny on the asphalt for Elon.
