Just Musk dox'ing federal employees on X/Twitter.

'Terror and fear': Elon Musk opens government workers to harassment after id'ing them on X
    https://www.rawstory.com/elon-musk-government-cuts/

Donald Trump hasn't been sworn into office yet, but his ally Elon Musk is already getting started working for a government agency that hasn't yet been created.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the "Department of Government Efficiency" co-director is tweeting out the names and personal details of federal employees, leading to some of his more than 205 million followers to "launch blistering critiques of ordinary" workers.

Ashley Thomas, a little-known director of "climate diversity" at the U.S. International Development Financial Corp., was targeted by the billionaire, who called her job "fake." The tweet received 32 million views and spawned a flood of memes making fun of her and telling her that her job would be over soon, the report stated.

Musk was put in charge of the soon-to-be-created Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. Biotech company founder Vivek Ramaswamy will be his co-chair. It's tasked with findings massive cuts in government spending.

Thus far, Ramaswamy hasn't targeted individuals. Instead, he's talked about his slashing of the federal workforce broadly, saying that he would fire people at random — suggesting it could be done based on Social Security number.

In his estimation, he could slash 75 percent of the workforce by choosing people whose Social Security numbers start or end with odd numbers.

Using X as a tool to attack people is nothing new, the report said.

"After taking over Twitter in 2022, Musk targeted Yoel Roth, the platform’s former head of trust and safety, who had recently left. Musk tweeted, incorrectly, that it looked like Roth had argued 'in favor of children being able to access adult Internet services,'" the Journal recalled. "Some of the platform’s users interpreted it as Musk calling Roth a pedophile, and they posted calls for Roth’s death. Roth moved out of his house temporarily because of threats."

“These tactics are aimed at sowing terror and fear at federal employees,” said Everett Kelley, president of the American Federation of Government Employees. It represents about 800,000 members of the 2.3 million federal employees.

“It’s intended to make them fearful that they will become afraid to speak up," said Kelley.

“We are a comparative steal, and we want to help clean it up too,” said Kelley, a former Army sergeant. “The people I represent have been called names like deep state, but they are working people just like you and I.”

Biden could use his remaining time and send Elon to Guantánamo for December.

I just had a horrible thought, in Starwars the Sith lord politically undermined the Republic and made the fascist Empire.

Is Elon going to start making clone armies of himself?

  5. Well, government employees do such a great job. Why would they fear anything?

  6. "At the end of the day, this federal government needs to be run more efficiently and more effectively. It is unfair, and it is a tax on every one of us to have money thrown away, wasted capital, and bureaucracy that gets in the way of people being able to do their jobs. This inefficiency is a tax on all of us—on our kids and our future. It needs to be fixed.

If it doesn't get fixed, as I’ve said countless times before, we are in an arithmetic debt spiral. There is no way out of it. By resolving inefficiency, reducing bureaucracy, stopping wasteful spending, and instituting accountability in the government, we can actually secure the United States for another 50 years, 100 years, or however long we want.

Right now, we are literally in a death spiral. Leading up to this moment, I have no idea how we ended up on this timeline. I was over the moon and shocked when I saw all the progress over the last couple of weeks in putting this together. I didn’t know this is where we would end up, and I couldn’t be happier with what I think is going to happen.

The impact of this—if not actually making the necessary changes, then at least shining a light on the issues that need to be addressed—is huge. It is unfair to Americans for this to be politicized. The Democrats shouldn’t make this a Republican issue. This is not about Republicans causing damage; this is about doing the right thing for the government and the country.

The Democrats had an opportunity to own this issue, and instead, they’ve chosen to oppose it—which makes no sense. It’s frustrating and challenging as an American to think this is even a political point. This should be a what’s right for America point.

It feels like we’re at war—war with ourselves, with our bureaucracy, and with the morass that has built up over the last few decades. I’m thrilled that action is being taken. Frankly, putting the people aside, maybe we need individuals who are outspoken, challenging, and even difficult to run this effort. Perhaps that’s what it will take to achieve real progress in the small 18-month window they have."

The claim that the Biden administration spent $7.5 billion and produced only 8 EV charging stations is misleading. The $7.5 billion allocated through the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure law is intended to fund a nationwide network of 500,000 EV chargers by 2030, but the rollout has been slow due to the complexity of the program. As of November 2024, 25 stations with 102 charging ports funded through this initiative were operational across nine states, with thousands more in development.

The delays stem from the need to establish a standardized, reliable network, requiring detailed planning and coordination with state agencies and private contractors. The program is designed to avoid haphazard deployment and ensure high-performance chargers are distributed strategically along highways and in communities. The Tesla approach could cripple the electricity grid.

Concerns about grid stability are valid as large-scale EV adoption progresses. While Tesla's fast-charging technology has set high industry standards, its rapid deployment model has sometimes raised questions about strain on local grids and that is with a fairly small number.

We have already seen the impacts of Elon dox'ing and threatening people on X/Twitter. Government employees should not be dox'ed, threatened and intimidated on social media platforms -- especially by the owner of the platform.

  10. If a government employee were to approve a contract that pays $600 for each stapler, you think that there should be no consequences for their actions?
