It's a custody battle, and she ran off with the kids to CA where there is no cap on child support. It's a custody dispute and which state has jurisdiction is up in the air atm.

 

This is not the first custody dispute and non-payment of child support situation that Musk has been involved in. It's a recurring problem with Musk; Amber Heard, etc., etc., etc.
