its funny. Many companies are saying they will. Details are vague.

Not one maga personality who sells apparel has said they will bring their manufacturing back.

    They are coming back??

They should have came back in 2017 when Trump first made this idea clear. But nope ...

I'm not saying vanished forever but I will say that new highs on the S&p are now years away. We won't see new highs on the s&p until sometime around 2032 or later!!!

There is a long drop coming and I predict that the markets will lose more than 60% from their historical highs ...

S&p will easily trade down to 2000 or less!!!

Won't happen so soon but over the course of a few years. ...the trend is down until Trump is out of office.
This time around the fed won't save the markets.

What's a fair tariff system to all? Are the american goods sold at higher price abroad a fair system? Why is it fair in its current state?

my point is that fair doesn’t mean that America stops being screwed. It means some of America does better and other parts get hurt. America has its own tariffs and trade restrictions too.

the way tariffs are characterized isn’t the reality but we will see that soon when markets close and supply chains are disrupted to a level that 2022 will look like nothing.

why doesn’t VW make a pick up truck?

Iffff you get an inkling of supply chain issues, forget it....absolutely forget it. This will create extreme havoc on the entire world and will create yet another downward spiral.

I just find it wild that now all of the sudden we are fighting to bring jobs back to the usa??

Has anyone seen the unemployment numbers the last 50 to 70 years?

I could see if we were in a great depression and unemployment was 30-40% but we have had massive job growth all while China has supplied the USA with goods for how many decades.
.we have the lowest unemployment out of any country and income that have mostly supported the average person but to come in now and try to bring jobs back?? This will actually hinder our job market and create more chaos than ever before.

Nations Strategize Before Week of Rising Trump Tariffs
While some 50 countries have reached out to the White House to start negotiations on tariffs, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Sunday that the levies won't be postponed.

Governments worldwide focused on whether they could make a deal with President Trump to soften the blow from his tariffs.

It comes as Trump's new 10% tariff on just about everything the U.S. imports took effect on Saturday. The tariffs apply to most nations and rates will be raised on some countries in the coming days.

Some 50 countries have reached out to the White House to start negotiations on tariffs, but Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Sunday that the levies won't be postponed.

All eyes will be on U.S. stock, oil and gold futures when they resume trading at 6 p.m. ET Sunday. After Trump announced the tariffs on Wednesday, Wall Street was plunged into a two-day rout that erased $6.6 trillion in stock-market value.

Trump, who was golfing in Florida on Saturday, urged Americans to stay the course through what he called an economic revolution, promising in a social-media post that “it won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic.”

Here's what else you need to know:

Trump's economic team took to the Sunday morning politics shows to argue the case for tariffs and downplay the risks of a recession.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to be the first world leader to hold in-person talks with Trump about the tariffs.

British car maker Jaguar Land Rover will pause shipments of its luxury vehicles to the U.S. in the wake of the new tariffs.

Retaliatory tariffs are in the offing with China saying it would impose a 34% tariff on U.S. goods starting this week and indicating it isn't planning to give in to the U.S.

Elon Musk would like to see a “no-tariff situation” someday between the U.S and Europe. The close Trump adviser made the comments in front of an Italian audience hours after the president's new tariffs took effect.

Countries will start negotiating but if they don't... what happens then.

    It's brinkmanship with your livelihood.
