Now, Spy, instead of throwing out insults, why not share something from your own life experience? I’m sure you’ve had moments worth talking about.

Right now, you're coming across as if you haven’t really lived, and I hope that’s not true. My mom used to say, "Life is long if you remember it." She always encouraged us to revisit our memories, small details, events, places, to keep them alive. It's a way of ensuring they don’t fade into nothingness.

So, maybe it’s time to catch up with yourself. Reflect on your past, reconnect with people, and bring those experiences back. Without those stories and memories behind your eyes, there's no real depth or charisma, is there?

You should know how to read by now, it wasn't an insult... it was advice.

Well I'm a cunning linguist and you are a master debater? :)

Its very bad advice. This is not specifically a debate format forum. Many of us are chums, well on the 'left'. I guess you can't understand friendship that does not give you anything tangible, but for many humans it is not brutally transactional.

  4. I dunno. To me, as a Kamala voter, that SpaceX landing did not look equitable to me.

Looks like it is the culmination of centuries of white privilege and colonialism that placed value on achievement and excellence, at the cost of marginalizing persons of color. And doing so right there on land that was occupied by native peoples for thousands of years.

I feel deep shame when I see that video.

If Trump wins I am moving to Canada so that I can be with like-minded people.

Now you remind me of when I was trying to break into the movie industry and living in L.A. The moment people there figured out you weren’t of any use to them, you could see their mask drop instantly. It was a quick shift from fake friendliness to complete indifference.

Don’t be like that. Instead of tearing others down, try bringing something of real value to the table.

Things have a way of coming back to you if you are not an 'orrible little cunt about everything @spy.

Even @wildchild and I have been able to connect in some way over our pizza fuelled eating disorder. And apparently we both like islands.

You're alright @Tuxan. No need to be hyper-sensitive. I hesitate to call you a friend since I don't know you. But, it may help you to understand that not everyone you meet in life will necessarily like you; esp. if you continue to be relentlessly annoying.

Tell that to Trump and his supporters who keep talking to empty chairs. :)

We are not in the positions you guys think.

A relevant post-WWII writer is Albert Camus, particularly in The Rebel (1951). He explores the cyclical nature of rebellion and extremism and how movements, including far-right fascism, inevitably destroy themselves through excess and violence.

Camus reflects on how the collapse of Nazi Germany demonstrated that unchecked power, driven by dehumanizing ideologies, is bound to self-destruct, leaving society to rebuild on more reasonable and humane foundations.

    And so it goes.

FYI... you need to work on your grammar. IDK if @wildchild has labelled you a foreigner yet but it might be coming.

If it is the boring, obvious thing, a MAGA has said it.

Now I'm off to Suvlas for a kebab/gyro thingy.
